scoutaholic wrote:Our council creates troops especially for national events. I'm not sure how all the paperwork is done (like chartering organizations, and registrations in the new troop), but at the Jamboree they are members of troop 901 (or 902, etc. Troops from 900-920).
Regardless of their previous registrations, a venturer could be registered into one of the contingent troops (as a youth member or as ASM).
I'm not sure how they could handle female members, because you can't register female youth in a troop (unless the council just breaks BSA rules to do it. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen the council do something contrary to national rules).
