Do you have an Eagle Project Work Book? If not there is a great rtf one on this site under forms.

You present the group you are doing the project for a written plan for the project. Then what normally has happened with our boys is that they get a letter from that group stating that they approve the project. They need to also sign the work book. Before that you need to get your SM's approval for the project.

Your project needs to have a well written plan. Remember part of the leadership part of the project is that the plan be written in a manner that anyone in your troop could take over and complete the project.
your community is a tree. You are either a leaf that feeds it or mistletoe that suckes it dry. Be sure you are always a leaf.

Update:the group I'm helping (our community food pantry) likes my ideas and wants to meet with the man who's going to be leading next week's food giveaway. This weekend I'm going to talk to my SM.....I have a few printed off eagle project packets I'm going to use for my rough drafts (my real packet will be typed & be my final copy)...hopefully I'll be ready this time next week to appeal to my district advancement committee about my eagle project!
