Hunting Trip?

Postby hacimsaalk » Sun Oct 31, 2004 12:28 pm

I was wondering, is it against BSA policy to take a Venture Crew on a hunting trip, as long as every one is properly liscensed. What the difference between it and the shooting sports merit badges?

hunting is an approved Venture Crew Activity NOT a Venture Patrol Activity. See the Ranger Award Elective Requirements for Hunting

And on both merit badges you don't kill anything.
your community is a tree. You are either a leaf that feeds it or mistletoe that suckes it dry. Be sure you are always a leaf.

Yes Venturing Crews may participate in hunting. This is covered in the Guide to Safe Scouting and Age appropriate Guidelines. Crews only, not Venture Patrols, or older scout patrols.

Each individual participating must be properyle licensed.
