Boy Scout uniform placement and inspection sheet

Does anybody ever use the BSA uniform inspection sheet? Do you ever inspect the scouts in your troop to see if they have the proper patches and placement? If so, do you have them stand in any kind of fromation, gaggle, take them aside to inspect it one on one, etc? If not, why not? I've never used it at a troop meeting, and I'm wishing now that I would've during my time as SPL. The reason I've never used it (other than for myself), is because I don't know any procedure for inspecting the scouts.

We have an occasional uniform inspection that I think was done by patrol and is announced beforehand so they guys think to dress properly.

What we have also done when the number of kids showing up in uniform starts to drop off is to have one of the adults come in with candy (mini hersheys or something) and pass out one piece for being in uniform (shirt at least) and one piece for having a book.

Amazing how easily they get trained to thinking about bringing the right stuff again!

Actually, I see/hear this done rarely. I am not sure why, though many commissioners may not realize they can do this? Units, except for Cubs, don't seem to have this on their radar? But I see improper Uniforms in any Unit I'm involved in. Often it's a simple wearing of "camo" shorts.
