Our troop is planning a Philmont trip and we would like to know what months others have went and what you thought about the wheather and other things. We had 3 boys go in Aug during the rainy season and would like to know what others that have went earier or later think.

My trek was in June 1982 (yeah...that long ago) and it was nice. Wasn't too hot and nights were comfortable.

I wen in June of 99. It wasn't too hot yet, and the temporary streams still had water in them, so several of the "dry" camps we stayed at actually had a water supply.

August '06 for me, it was baeutiful, but we did get at least a short rainfall nearly everyday.
