Jamboree Uniforms

I've heard that uniforms were part of the expensive part that the staff dont see at first. Could somebody go more in depth please?

I was wondering like how many uniforms we have to have. Pants, shorts,etc

I take two shirts and two shorts. and Tons of scout t shirts and a samany pair of sock I can stuff in my locker..
There will be Jamboree T shirts and Staff t shirts that you will need. Our staff actually made washing machines and kept everything nice and sweet smelling. Staff is only in Class A for Dinner and shows. the rest of the time in class B. You will be issued a hat which you MUST wear no other hat is allowed. During set up we wear evryday cloths no uniform until Sunday night show. The biggest issue is alot of underwear. Mark Everithing well

the whole trick to the uniform problem is to make sure that you WASH THEM while you are there!

10 Gallon buckets and plungers are excellent

at least with the buckets and plunger...you don't have to worry about finding change for the washer...or locating a maytag repairman when it breaks!!!

If I am on staff, how many Staff Tees are issued or available to purchase? You mention "tons of Scout tees". When is it appropriate to wear a scout tee?.

After the first of the Year staff members get a special Jamboree Order Book with staff items. ALso each area of the Jamboree usually has some sort of staff shirt to get. That comes from the Coordinatyor of that area. Figure It this way. you will be there from July 20 - August 3. During staff time/set up anything goes as to what you wear. from Sunday on You are in SCout mode. Jamboree/Staff t shirt for everythinbg except Shows and Evening MEal. The Only show in Class B' is the Staff show on The Night before the Jamboree starts. That is put on my the Army for the staff.It is hot and you will sweat alot. I personally try to avoid washing cloths so I take a lot of shirts and socks and Underwear. By the LAst couple of says we are sometyimes in REgular camp t shirts if the staff can't get things washed. The Rappel Tower in D made iour own washing machines from Large Buckets with lids and Plungers.

Many councils offer a large discout to Jamboree staff and participants like they do for their summer camp staff. It never hurts to ask.
