Eligibility
To become a member, a youth must be a registered member of a Boy Scout troop or Varsity Scout team and hold First Class rank. The youth must have experienced 15 days and nights of Boy Scout camping during the two-year period prior to the election. The 15 days and nights must include one, but no more than one, long-term camp consisting of six consecutive days and five nights of resident camping, approved and under the auspices and standards of the Boy Scouts of America. The balance of the camping must be overnight, weekend, or other short-term camps. Following approval by the Scoutmaster or Varsity team Coach, Scouts are elected to seek membership in the Order by their fellow unit members. Then, after completing an Ordeal experience, they become members of the Order of the Arrow.

Scouter01 Please take some time to learn about "Scoutings Honor Society"
It is a service Organization. In our Lodge like most lodges we have sevarl weekends through out the year. During those weekends we perform a whole lot of cheerful service to our camps and Councils, we have ceremonies and we have fun time for everyone. The OA is a Boy Led Organization. Adults have no say in anything. They do act as advisers for each committee and each office held by a youth. You are also considered a youth until your 21st Birthday in the Order.

First of sorry about the Necro post

For the 15 nights of camping, assuming a Scout went on a typical long term "sumer camp" in the prvious two years (so that rhequirement is met.) How do other high adventure trips count?

Like a week in the Boundry Waters staying at a different campsite every night?

Or a week at Philmont Backpacking?

Those are considered long term so you can count only one of those the others should be with their troop at camporees and weekend a campouts.
