Why is the "S" on the Eagle medal leaning sideways

Postby spl08 » Fri Aug 03, 2007 12:52 pm

This will most likely be a short thread. I'm just wondering why the "S" on the Eagle medal is leaned sideways instead of being placed normally.

You are one in a million to notice the most random things, not to be mean or anything.

Well, it's only on every single Eagle badge and when you see an older badge it only drastically stands out IMO. CFJ/BSA had to have some reason for it.

Do you think that it was nice saying that I have "dumb" comments, if you don't like them, then don't read them.

They are, like my comment up there, quite rude. If your trying to be funny, put in a smiley. At any rate, welcome to mb.com

Ok guys, I have read many posts of you two going back and forth. Please, save it for a different place, this is not the place for it. It is one thing to disagree with a person, then it is another thing to have personal attacks. But please guys, I come here to read about scouting topics, so please do not bicker or personally attack another. Again, I have read it in many different topics, and read the Admins. trying to put a stop to it.

I think you both have great opinions on issues, I would hate to see your accounts deleted or suspended. So please stop the personal attacks.

Thanks, I would greatly apreciate it.

The admin has already informed us of such things.

And though I still was offended by the joke in the one thread, I regret all other attacks as stated previous.

Thanks Pipestone and Cescout, I respect both of you for admitting your wrongs. It means a lot, and it shows maturity. I respect that, so I thank you.

Still, nobody has attempted a guess as to the position of the letter in question.

This is a total guess:

Is it so it is straight on the Eagles chest? I am unsure if the S is sideways due to it needeng to be on the Eagles chest perfectly.
