Date for Beading Selected - May 6th

Postby mt_goodrich » Thu Mar 06, 2008 10:40 pm

My TG knows that I have one more ticket item to complete, which will be accomplished on March 15th.

He called and asked if I had a date in mind for my beading. He asked since he wanted to be sure that he and our course director would be available.

After speaking with my district executive, I have selected Tuesday, May 6th. I am scheduled to be beaded during the district's award dinner. And I just found out that a fellow patrol member in my district will also beaded with me at the same time.

On a sad note, just learned that a Scouter that was a TG for the Bob White Patrol for Course SR-837 died of a massive heart attack on Tuesday.

Thomas Gene Bolerjack, a retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008, in Fort Worth after a sudden illness.

Tom served nearly 30 years as a distinguished pharmacist in the U.S. Air Force and loved his Country, his family, his Lord and Savior, flying, Boy Scouts, and good friends. He was a mentor and a good friend and will be missed by many.

Okay...its official. Got call from my Troop Guide and stated that my workbook has been reviewed and all is good. Beads, neckerchief, slide and certificate have been ordered and all that is left now is the actual beading.

More great news. A fellow patrol member who is from my district and didn't know before Wood Badge will be beaded the same evening.

Our whole patrol will be there. Hopefully we can help get the remaining three patrol members motivated to complete their tickets. To be honest, only one we are concerned with. He hasn't started on any of his ticket items. The other two have one or two items left and just waiting on certain dates. They should be done before end of summer.
