You are indeed correct. CSR was eliminated in 1994 and the OA needs to update it's handbooks.

WE have a June weekend and All Colleges are done by then and we have an Agust weekend before the colleges start again. SO they would miss the Oct and APril weekend for school. One cannot think of the OA as just a flap and a sash. It is your duty to your fellow scouts and the council.
To give cheerful service to your Camp and Your Council.

My son's troop is in New Jersey. He goes to college in Florida which results in limited time home to participate with his troop or the OA. As far as the summer is concerned, this summer he will be in Tennessee doing an internship. It is not possible for him to participate at this time.

Everyone is worried about the kids at college. That is a non issue. Take them out of the equation. Like everything there is an exception . How about those that can come both youth and adult. These are the ones that need that rule. The idea of the Order is not to give you a flap and a sah to wear. Arrowmen are expected to provide cheerful service to their council.

Didn't I imply this from the beginning?
At any rate I agree with you, if you can't be at least an elangomat or something else, remove the flap.
