I was sold at the 05 NSJ.There was a Western Region Camp about 1/4 mile behind Sub 4 I walked through it on my way to Thomas Rd the day after a major rain storm.The APLS Tents were dry all the others were wet inside.Sold me! I have an Extreme Tent and have used it all year around. works well.

Love the program, I have a Tuarus outfitter for longer term camping and dump camping when I use a cot and an extreme for backpacking. Both have been used many times with successful results.

I have purchased a Desert Pine sleeping bag and a Cascade backpack for my son and they have been used hard )been to Bridger Teton and Philmont. and he loves them.

Find them easy to order, responsive customer service and deliver what they promise.

He had been using my red BSA (external frame) backpack from the 1970s, complete with HIGH ADVENTURE patch.
(You could get this backpack in red or blue.)

I think there have been a couple of backpack technology advancements in the last 30+ years.

Your son should like that pack. I often borrow one of my sons packs for quick trips. Always amazed at the comfort.

I recommend them to all my scout parents and other scouting friends. With the great gear and discounts it makes it hard to pass up. Their customer service is fantastic when you have questions. Our troop has 4 of the 3 man domes, 2 5 man and 1 large 6 man tent. My son and I both use the air mattresses which are very durable and he has a backpack from them I want to borrow. Great company!!
