West Virginain Scouting Center Named

The New Scouting center in WV is being named after the Stephen Bechtel Jr. Family. Bechtel is the largetst construction company in the world. Could it be they are going to do all the construction for us as a donation? This is the only way I see everything being finished in 3 years. ALso if you have not heard the BSA is putting a bid in for the 201? World Jamboree for the site along with Mexico and Canada so it would be a North American World Jamboree. Love it 2.5 hours and I am there.

Just heard something interesting.
Griz (My Senior)was at the Hill last week and the guys there are saying the next 3 will still be at the Hill.
Talk about double talk.
You talk to the folks from WV they say it is a done deal. I know the SCouting center is but they are still saying the Jamboree SIte is also.

Now I am starting to wonder here. The BSA made a huge push to find a permanent site for the Jamboree and they are not going to use it in 2013? Makes no sense to me.

In my meeting last week, the Director over International for BSA told us that they were putting the bid, with the backing of Canada, Mexico and they had the assurance that 80% of the other countries would back it.
