Jamboree CSPs

Postby biglou » Wed Oct 21, 2009 11:45 pm

Just wondering on what some Councils are coming up with. My council is working on a set with "Punxsy Phil". I took a quick look at the preliminary art work and they looked pretty good. Just have to wait and see what York-Adams is doing because for some odd reason they got permission to use "Punxsutawney Phil" too. York-Adams Area Council is on the eastern side of the state while "Punxsutawney Phil" and the Bucktail Council is located in Western PA. What are some of the ideas that are out there?

We let our kids make up designs and bring them to a pre jambo meeting and vote on what they want.

Cleveland Council CPS are in a set of 6.

The one to be worn on our Jambo uniforms was designed by a Scout (in my Jambo troop).
There are four with Lake Erie boat (USCG cutter, fire boat, ore ship, tug)
The sixth is a ghost patch (all black) from our 2005 Jambo CSP (updated to 2010).

All fully embroidered.
Due in any day now.

As for Chief Cornplanter, I will have to see it first. Sorry I missed you at the CoC Lifescoutforlife. The Jambo meeting went a little longer than what I had anticipated.

The COC went longer then I thought also, they gave everyone a tour of the camp because there was only a few of us that had ever been there before and that took some time. I see you are missing some hills in your camp, if you need some are camp is more then willing to give up a part of one of ours. LOL. Really your guys have a very nice camp and I'm sure you will put on a great conclave. Our boys voted on Allengheny Al ( 2005 was Allengheny Nessie ) Patch and they are trying to work out the colors at this time but a know that one of the colors changes in the sun.

A kind, gentle reminder...

Quoted from CONDITIONS OF USE:

  • "This is not a patch trading site... Posts pertaining to any possible pecuniary interest (meaning: the offer to sale, buy, trade or otherwise barter), including, but not limited to, uniform items, gear, patches, etc, are not permitted here."

Posts which we feel do not support these policies will be subject to removal. We reserve the right to remove anything from these pages for any reason without notice.

=================

I'm all for "discussing" CSPs here... In fact, I'd like to see some scans. However, when I saw the first post in this thread, I honestly figured "trading" would soon come up.

When it comes to patch trading, please use e-mail (or some other means) to say, I want, I have, or anything else that may indicate patch "trading".

Thanks.

P.S. I'm not going to lock this thread (at this time).
