Duplicate Posts....

Folks,

We've been seeing a lot of duplicate posts, lately. (Or, at least, we've been deleting a lot, lately.) Not to worry though; simply as a matter of housekeeping, we (moderators) delete dups whenever we come across them. (Yeah, I got a kick outta somebody getting four in a row, earlier today... and getting razzed for it by another user, to boot! Lotsa a good people here; good natured too.) I've too, dropped a couple of dups in here recently, thinking I'd missed the "Sumbit" button by a little bit; all the while, it was those faithful little hamsters (inside the board's server) that were running their little tails off just to catch up.

Anyhow, I digress. I have brought this to the attention of Optimist (our esteemed Administrator) as well as the other Moderators.

While I'm at it though, if you've also been experiencing problems with the board, e.g., a higher than usual number of "TCP/IP Time Out errors," or anything else that appears to be board (that is, phpBB software) related, please drop us a note in here. Thanks.

I'm one of the recent double posters, and it did happen to me when I had a browser timeout after hitting the submit button.

Bob - if you don't mind another situation that's been happening to me.
When I bring up the list of "posts since last visit" and click on one, then try to return to the original list - it says nothing new has been submitted. Now I have to go back through each category to see if anything new has been written? Might just be me but thought I'd mention it.
