Atomic Energy - Nuclear Science MB ID Number

Postby Scouting179 » Thu Feb 10, 2005 10:24 am

Does anyone know if the MB ID number changed when Atomic Energy morphed into Nuclear Science?

This is important because if it did change, then Scouts can earn both MBs; but if it didn't change, then Scouts can only earn one of the two MBs in question.

In Boy Scout Requirements 200 the note specifically says "the NAME was changed" not "This MB replaces Atomic Energy"

The MB ID number remains 24.

Since the MB number is the same and the name has changed as a MB councelor do you need to file a new application for the MB (Atomic Energy to Nuclear Science)??? I would think the answer is no but......

NO. You are registered to counsel MB no. 24. Just because the name changed, doe not change that registration.
