Does anyone have a source to learn the number of each different merit badge awarded in a given year? I'm really trying to find out what is the most popular badge and the least popular.

Up until the 19802, BSA had to give Congress an annual report on this. These reports are in the Merit Badge Field Guide by Fred Duersch.

However, I don't know how to get the current numbers. I offer this as a bit history.

Good resource for current stuff; but just FYI the MB Fields Guide has all the old MBs in it too.
