Has anyone out there done a trip to Havasu Falls - The Grand Canyon. It was in the Scouting Magazine last issue.
Was looking to see how other troops went about planning it and all of that stuff.
Please let me know. Pm me!
Thanks,

I'm sure it's probably a great place for a scout event.
IIRC, isn't it a major college spring break destination?

Check out the website-
www.havasupaitribe.comIt is a fantastic trip but should be avoided in the summer. The temperature at the bottom of the canyon is about like Phoenix.
The pictures don't do it justice.
We've done it as a high adventure hike. It is strenuous climbing out- the last 1-1/4 mile climbs 110' in elevation. Their is no water and it is HOT.
You can also be lazy and ride a mule in or out.
