One of our adult leaders, who will remain nameless, goes behind the PLC's back alot and cancels trips without the spl's permossion and he will send us emails in the middle of the day and cancel the activity an hour later while we are at school and then say that we never responded... how are we supposed to respnd and he knows that we are at school

i think the leader should realize that the troop should be BOY RUN. he needs to talk with the plc and let them know why he canceled it and work something out. I would hate to be looking forward to an outing and then it would be canceled the day we were supposed to go

Is this a SM or an ASM? If it is an ASM then talk to the SM. If it is a SM then talk to the Committee Chair. There should be only a couple of reasons that an event be canceled. And at the whim of an adult isn't one of those. I can see only two that would rate short notice canceling. Lack of adult leadership available or sever enough weather that the boys could be in danger.
