Protocol for Red TRAINED Patch

What is protocol/requirements for wearing the red TRAINED patch on the left sleeve when wearing a District Committee patch?

Is there Committee-specific training or is it just New Leader Essentials and Youth Protection Training?

I am new to the Committee (last fall) as District Finance Chair (i.e. FOS Campaign).
I am also on the Council's FOS Steering Committee.

I do have an Insignia Guide but can't seem to find an answer to the above. (Sorry if it's there and I haven't looked hard enough). I also did a search of all forums to no avail.

Yes there are training's for District Committee members.
You might want to ask your District or Council Training Chair about the District Committee Training Workshop, the complete workshop plans can be found in: No.34160B.
This along with the NLE might be all the training that a District Committee member who is not interacting with youth members might need to be considered trained. All councils require YP for those committee members that would be dealing with youth members.
We have District Committee members that never see a youth member. Guys on the Finance Committee that only deal with the community campaign, they never have any dealings with our youth members, while the people who serve on the advancement committee might be dealing with youth members a lot and they defiantly require the YP training.
The BSA web site states:
All adult leaders must have completed BSA Youth Protection training before participating in any Scouting event or activity involving youth members.
Some councils require all adults to take the training while others only require it for leaders participating in events or activities that involve youth members.
The best thing to do is check with your District Training Chair

Yes, it's been answered, but each District does this. Locally, our Districts conduct Fall and Spring sessions for all Positions. Then they issue "the patch". If you're trading out Position patches (one Shirt), be sure and consider that the Trained strip is to be worn under only the Positions trained in.

This might be a little off subject... but still. My "Trained" patch is for Den Chief training.

Ooh, here we go; getting back on subject. I'm now 18, does that mean I have to remove my beloved Trained patch?

The trained patch goes with the Position Patch. SO if you change positions and are not trained for that position then the Trained patch comes off.
