Our troop just returned from Camp Friedlander near Cincinnati, OH. The previous two years we attended Camp Ransburg near Bloomington, IN.
The Scouts had an excellent week of fun and hard work. Six out of eight of them worked on various ranks in the Firecrafter program. This was in addition to four to five Merit Badges each. The general opinion of the Scouts was that: the food was better at Ransburg, drink choices better at Friedlander, the Merit Badges were easier to get at Friedlander, the opening and closing campfire programs were better at Friedlander, the bathrooms/showers were better at Friedlander, camp staffs were a tie and easier to get to your MB sites at Ransburg. The apparent bottom line was the edge to Friedlander. We voted where they wanted to go next year - Ransburg.
