Jamboree temps....
The general area fo the jambo is currently experiencing a heat wave. Official weather report is ging the temp
as 85 in Fredricksburg with a Heat Index of 106.
Enoy.
(Fredricksburg used as the nearest MAJOR reporting station becaue AP Hill is not detailed on the Weather channel)

Actually, I am expecting temperatures to be in triple digits.
(Hope I'm wrong.)
I grew up in St. Louis where you wanted the temperature to climb so it would burn off the humidity.
Now I live in Cleveland where people wig-out about the thermometer breaking 90.

Unfortunately in VA the heat doesn't burn off the humidity. The two team up to make life really miserable.

And this is new? I seem to recall last Jambo every one was surprised that VA was hot in July. Duh?

For the 2013 Jambo the weather statistics show July averages about 5 degrees coooler (both high and low) with record highs more like 10 degrees cooler. My experiences seem to lead me to think more like 10 degrees cooler for the new WV site.
